Anthony Schembri is a respected law enforcement and academic professional with over four decades’ experience in the field. Over the years, he has drawn praise from such varied sources as New York City Mayor, President Jimmy Carter, Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and New York Governor Mario Cuomo. First appointed to the Brooklyn District Attorneys Office he advanced to Deputy Chief of the Narcotics Bureau, then to Director of Training at the District Attorneys Police Academy. Anthony Schembri has served as the city’s Deputy Inspector General, investigating cases of major crime and corruption. He was appointed by the Mayor of New York as Corrections Commissioner, a position putting him in charge of 12,000 uniformed officers and 20,000 inmates at 19 separate jail facilities. Today, the Citrus County, Florida, resident serves as a Visiting Professor at Oxford and Sheffield Hallam University and named Outstanding Professor of the Year at the University of Florida.

Dr. Swindell is a professor of Social Work at Mississippi State University and recently made history as the first teaching Ph.D. and MSW in Social Work to be awarded tenure and achieve the rank of professor. Swindell also independently contracts as a mitigation expert and expert witness, working with men serving capital murder sentences on death row in the US. She has over 30 years of experience in forensic social work and brings a wealth of information from sociology, social work, and forensic testimony evidence retrieval to this conference. Dr. Swindell completed her Ph.D. (2001) and MSW (1992) in Social Work from the University of Alabama.

"Barrie Trower - I trained at the Government (Ministry of Defense) microwave warfare establishments early in the 1960s covering all aspects of microwave technology, uses and health dangers. Later works included under water bomb-disposal which incorporated microwave technology. In the late 1960’s and 1970’s a part of my task was to extract confidential information from master criminals, terrorists, and spies. This included Cold War microwave technology. My first degree is in Physics with a specialization in microwaves. My second degree is a research degree. I have a teaching diploma in human physiology. Before retiring, I taught advanced physics and mathematics at South Dartmoor College. I am Scientific Advisor to the Radiation Research Trust and the H.E.S.E. (Human Ecological Social Economical) Project. I am the author of both Tetra Reports for the Police Federation of England and Wales and the Public and Commercial Service Union.

Her former positions involved close cooperation with the European Institutions and organisation of numerous international conferences and trade shows. Melanie has a proven track record in working with high-level authorities such as the European Commission and the European Parliament, the organisation of network meetings, needs assessment and implementation for particular “client groups” as well as successfully carrying out pan-European and interregional projects with the aim of promoting international cooperation.In her last position, she has worked as the Communications Manager of a European navigation satellite system developed by the European Space Agency (ESA). Dr Mohamed Chahine Ghanem is Industry Advisor and Associate Professor in Cyber Security and AI, he is the acting director of the Cyber Security Research Centre/ London Metropolitan University, and a Senior Fellow in Cyber Security at the University of Liverpool. Dr Ghanem serves as the Chair of the Subject Standards Board and Program Manager for the MSc Cyber Security. Before joining Academia, Dr Ghanem earned solid industry experience with over 15 years of practice in mid-senior positions in Law enforcement and corporations mainly acting as Principal Cyber Investigator and Risk Auditor. Dr Ghanem holds an Engineering Degree (MEng) in Computer Science, an MSc in Digital Forensics & IT Security and a PhD in Cyber Security Engineering from the City, University of London. Dr Ghanem is a Senior Fellow of HEA (SFHEA) and holds a PGCert in Academic Practice and a PGDip in Security Studies. Chahine has over 15 years of experience in digital forensics and incident response at law enforcement and a corporate level and earned many certificates such as CISSP, GCFE, GICSP, GWAPT, ACE, and CPCI. Dr Ghanem is currently leading the research in applied AI for Cyber Security and Digital Forensics and supervising research students on topics related to digital forensics, IoT, offensive cyber security and applied AI and published numerous research papers in quality journals.
