Maged Al-Barashi, PhD, Associate Professor, School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Guilin University of Aerospace Technology, Guilin, China, has been engaged in electrical engineering teaching and research for many years and has published over 11 SCI/EI-indexed papers. He earned his BSc degree in Power System Engineering from Aleppo University, Syria, in 2009, an MSc degree in Power and Mechanical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 2015, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, China, in 2023. From 2010 to 2017, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Dhamar Industrial Technical Institute, Dhamar, Yemen. From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a Sales Support Engineer and Showroom Manager at MAM International Corporation, Sana'a, Yemen. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Senior Technical Engineer at NEDCO for Engineering Contracting and Supplies, Cairo, Egypt. His current research interests include the power quality of electronic-based power systems, aircraft quality and reliability, passive filters and their application in high-speed railways, electric power utilization, and renewable energy
