Dr Farshad Tahmasebi attained his Medical degree in 2005 from Tehran University of Medical Sciences (Iran) , moved to the UK, London, the same year and has been living in the United Kingdom since 2005. He is a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from 2017.
He is the Clinical Lead for Gynaecology Oncology and currently covers general and acute gynaecology, rapid access, colposcopy and gynaecology oncology sessions. He is also responsible for the 2WW clinics and heads the Multidisciplinary Gynaecology Oncology Group, ensuring cancer targets are met.
He has a long clinical experience working in a number of UK hospitals, such as the Princess Royal, Guy's and St Thomas, Chelsea and Westminster, Whipps Cross and the Royal Free. He has undertaken and overseen many different procedures and surgeries in obstetrics and gynaecology, and my areas of special interest are gynaecology oncology, colposcopy and laparoscopy.
Apart from his clinical experience, he has authored and published original research theses and articles in reputable journals, including The Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, the International Journal of Women's Health, Critical Care Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Obstetrics Medicine. His research interests include Saline Infusion Sonography and Low Pressure Laparoscopy with enhanced post-operative patient recovery.
Lastly, he has devoted much of his working life to ensuring high-quality, patient-oriented medical practices. He is known for his capacity to inspire trust in patients as well as colleagues, and to confidently lead medical teams to successful outcomes.
His areas of special interest are gynaecology oncology, colposcopy and laparoscopy.
