Professor Raman Singh’s primary research interests are in the relationship of Nano-/microstructure and Environment-assisted degradation and fracture of metallic and composite materials, and Nanotechnology for Advanced Mitigation of such Degradations. He has also worked extensively on use of advanced materials (e.g., graphene) for corrosion mitigation, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion and corrosion-mitigation of magnesium alloys (including for the use of magnesium alloys for aerospace, defence and bioimplant applications). Prof Singhis a senior professor at Monash University, Australia. He is a Guest Professor at ETH Zurich, Switzerland (2020, 2023, 2024), US Naval Research Lab, Indian Institute of Science, and University of Connecticut. He worked as a scientist at Indian Atomic Energy and as a post-doc fellow at University of New South Wales, Australia. Prof Singh’s professional distinctions and recognitions include: Guest Professor of ETH Zurich, Editor of a book on Cracking of Welds (CRC Press), Lead Editor of a book on Non-destructive Evaluation of Corrosion (Wiley), Editor-in-Chief of an Elsevier and two MDPI journals, leader/chairperson of a few international conferences and numerous plenary/keynote lectures at international conferences, over 265 peer-reviewed international journal publications and 15 book chapter, and several competitive research grants (that includes 4 Discovery, 7 Linkage and one ITRH grants of Australian Research Council). Prof Singh has supervised 52 PhD students. His vibrant research group at Monash University comprises of PhD students from different disciplines (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials and Mining Engineering, and Science) as well as from different cultural backgrounds (Australian, Middle-eastern, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian, African, North American and Israeli).

Assoc. prof. Tadeusz Szumiata is a Head of the Physics Department in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom (Poland). He was born in 1970, he obtained a Doctorate in Solid State Physics in 2002 in the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. He does research in Environmental Science, Nanomaterials Engineering, Multiferroic Compounds, Defectoscopy, Fundamental and Industrial Mass Metrology as well as Metal-Organic Chemistry by applying magnetic methods and Mössbauer spectrometry. He is also a specialist in the modelling of magnetic anisotropy, magneto-mechanical effects as well as spin-dependent tribological phenomena. He published more than 60 papers cited in more than 500 documents. He works as a guest editor of high-score MDPI Materials Special Issues and a reviewer in over a dozen of peer-reviewed international journals. He is one of the founders and vice president of the Polish Society of Mössbauer Spectroscopy and an active member of Le Groupe Francophone de Spectrométrie Mössbauer (GFSM). He also worked as an expert for the Central Office of Measures in Warsaw and was the first technical delegate of Poland to Bureau international des poids et mesures (BIPM) in Sèvres in order to visit a new kilogram standard facility after the redefinition of the international system of units (SI) in 2018. Recently he has been invited to the international scientific committees of several major international conferences: International Symposium on the Industrial Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (ISIAME2022 and ISIAME2024), International Conference on Advanced Materials, Nanosciences and Applications and Training School in Spectroscopies for Environment and Nanochemistry (ICAMANA2022) as well as Soft Magnetic Materials Conference (SMM2019).

Dr Wei Min Huang is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With over 25 years of experience on various shape memory materials (alloys, polymers, composites and hybrids), he has published over 200 papers in journals, such as Materials Today, Accounts of Chemical Research, and Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, and has been invited to review manuscripts from over 300 international journals (including Progress in Polymer Science, Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Materials, etc), project proposals from American Chemical Society, Hong Kong Research Grants Council, etc, and book proposals from Springer, Elsevier and CRC. He has published two books (Thin film shape memory alloys – fundamentals and device applications, Polyurethane shape memory polymers) and is currently on the editorial board of over three dozen of journals. He has over 50 granted patents in China, Europe, Singapore and USA, and is founder/co-founder of a couple of startups in China, Malaysia and Singapore.

Prof. Oleg L. Figovsky ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oleg_Figovsky) is the founder of International Nanotechnology Research Centre “Polymate”, where he is carrying now many research works in nanostructured corrosion resistant composite materials and protective coatings based on polymer and silicate matrix. Last his elaborations are nonisocyanate polyurethanes and liquid rubber based polymer concretes. Novel nanotechnologies invented by prof. Figovsky were a base for establishing a few of industrial production in USA, Canada, China, Mexico, Russia and Israel. He is also the President of IAI (Israel), member of European Academy of Sciences, Foreign Members of two Russian Academies of Sciences (REA & RAACS), the chairman of theUNESCO chair “Green Chemistry”. For few of his inventions in nanotechnologies he received gold and silver medals at the IENA98 (Nurnberg, Germany). From 1999 he is the editor-in-chief of the journal “Scientific Israel – Technological Advantages”, from 2012 – of the ICMS-journal (USA). . In 2006 he received the Gold Angel Prize at the “Genious-2006” and in 2007 NASA Nanotech Briefs®’ Nano 50™ Award,. Prof. Oleg L. Professor Songül Fiat Varol is working in Manisa Celal Bayar University in Electric and Energy department. Her main research interests have been materials science especially technology of semiconductor materials and devices including solar cells, light emitting diodes (LEDs/OLEDs). She has published more than 30 scientific papers in this field in the internationally recognized journals. She has supervised 1 Ph.D. and 5 M.Sc. studies. Viorel Paleu holds the position of a habilitated full professor in mechanical engineering since October 2021. He became a part of the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi in Romania in September 1996, where he successfully earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mechanical Engineering with Magna Cum Laude distinction in 2002 from the same institution. Over the course of 2000 to 2021, he advanced through each academic stage, ascending from an assistant professor to attaining the esteemed rank of habilitated full professor at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of the "Gheorghe Asachi" Technical University of Iasi. During his doctoral studies and subsequent post-doctoral engagement, he spent approximately 2 years at INSA de Lyon in France. Here, he engaged in research projects in collaboration with industry partners such as ALSTOM France, SNR France, SNECMA Paris, Microturbo, alongside the French Ministry of Education.
