Samir K Srivastava is a Professor in Operations Management Area at IIM Lucknow (India). He is an undergraduate in Electrical Engineering from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (now IIT BHU) and an MBA in Finance. He has over three decades of experience in research, teaching, training, consulting and industry. He founded South Asia's first public procurement observatory. During his long career, he has carried out many funded research projects and policy-shaping consulting assignments. Prof. Samir is a prolific researcher and a highly cited academic who works mainly in the areas of sustainable supply chains, reverse logistics, public procurement and supply chain innovations. Prof. Samir figures among the top 2% scientists in the world based on career-long impact in the "Author databases of standardized citation indicators" lists 2020, 2021 and 2022. He has been bestowed with many recognitions and awards. These include four Best Paper awards, Emerald/IAM Indian Management Research Fund Award 2015 and Prof. Manubhai M. Shah Memorial Award for Excellence in Commerce and Business Management (MMSMA) 2015.
