Former Police Commissioner in New York, USA
This will be a presentation of real crime scenes and the management of efforts bringing together the forensic experts and the investigative personal to solve real cases. Having lead the Homicide Department department unlike CSI and other programs, police fail to collect and properly analysis a crime scene which I will demonstrate. We need to interpret crime scenes. Sloppy police investigations, lazy forensic personnel team up to reduce the ability to solve cases with solid evidence.
The research profession needs to catch up with policing, corrections and juvenile justice, and define a role for itself in the problem solving process. The research community needs to find ways to bring its analytical skills, its objectivity, its rigor, its independence, its ability to link theory and practice, into the messy arena of contemporary practice. Although we have made progress, the need is tremendous.

Cross-training in trauma-informed forensic interviewing and critical thinking is crucial in securing an accurate and comprehensive bio-psycho-social-spiritual assessment. While conducting the mitigation specialist interview with an inmate serving a capital murder sentence, knowledge of non-verbal and verbal cues for past lived traumas can alert the interviewer to topics needing to be revisited in different ways and at different times. Using critical thinking allows the interviewer to constantly check for accuracy and hesitations in statements and recounting of events. While law enforcement officers are trained in how to look for the flaws in their evidence and reasoning during an investigation, the well-trained mitigation specialist is trained in looking for trauma cues for evidence of childhood trauma. The purpose of this presentation is to share ways that a mitigation specialist who has been cross-trained in trauma-informed forensic interviewing and critical thinking can successfully integrate this knowledge to deliver comprehensive biopsychosocial history reports to the defense team.
Dr. Marian Swindell is a Mitigation Specialist/Expert and holds a traditional MSW (1992) and PhD (2001) from the University of Alabama. Research indicates that approximately 90% of pre-lingual deaf children are born to hearing parents (Brungel, 2000). Further, according to the 2021 American Community Survey (ACS), about 3.6% of the U.S. population, or about 11 million individuals, consider themselves deaf or have serious difficulty hearing (Center, 2024).
For many of those children born to hearing parents, they are not learning or acquiring language from their parents as their parents do not know or use sign language. Often times, these parents have been advised (mistakenly) to not learn and use sign language with their children because of the belief that signing prevents speech and mainstream inclusion. This lack of language skills can have a deleterious effect on deaf children and lead to “an impoverished or distorted relationship between parent and child. (Austin, 2010)” This can lead to challenging behavior in adulthood.
Developmental delay, due to delayed language acquisition, can cause a disruption in their cognitive processes, poor executive functioning, attention deficits and poor mental health (Austin, 2010). Each of these disruptions have been linked to criminal behavior (Griffith, 2024).
Dr. Aviva Twersky Glasner, Ph.D. received a Masters in Forensic Psychology and her doctorsl degree in Criminal Justice. She has worked with Deaf individuals and developed her research interests around using criminological theories to examine the role that socialization may play in criminality of Deaf inmates.

What are the predictors of staged suicide scenes in domestic violence cases?
The most common victim-offender relationship involving homicide scene staging is an intimate partner relationship.
How to analyze a crime scene to determine if it was a murder staged as a suicide is the core purpose of this presentation and abstract.
The most common victim-offender relationship involving homicide scene staging is an intimate partner relationship.
The most staged homicide scenes involve the killing of an intimate partner.
A woman is found dead, hanging by a ligature in her closet and discovered by her husband who appears heartbroken and grieving. You cut her down and confirm there is no pulse. By all accounts, the scene looks like a suicide. You call it as such and summon the coroner. Right?
Now consider that the husband (who found his wife hanging) had a documented history of domestic violence against his now-deceased wife. Would you ask more questions? Would you look for more witnesses or evidence of foul play? Would you secure the scene and call out investigators? Would you go so far as to suggest a possible homicide? Or is this going too far?
six predictive factors, that when present, suggest foul play:
A premature death when the deceased was in apparent good health.
Death by suicide.
Evidence that one of the partners wished to terminate the relationship.
Prior domestic violence on the part of the deceased’s partner.
The deceased was found dead in her home.
The deceased was found dead by her current or previous partner.

Thermal tomography is a scan of the human body using a thermal imager to identify and match physical wounds on the body from radiation. The electromagnetic spectrum covers multiple different types of radiation from microwave, infrared, ultraviolet, gamma, x-rays, and radio transmissions. Radio waves connect to the human body using mesh and neural networks, causing physical damage to the human body which causes scaring, burns, and additional sensations such as zapping, itching, effects. Thermal tomography scans can prove the internal, external, effects and damage on the body. Identifying venal and arterial damage, the exact nerve that is being effected that causes the zapping, itching sensations. Thermal tomography can also be used to identify directed energy sources and prove Havana Syndrome.

This presentation aims to provide an overview, including theoretical arguments and empirical evidence, to answer the following question: To what extent can individual financial attitudes and behaviors influence attitudes and beliefs toward financial/white-collar crime? While a large body of literature refers separately to both daily financial behavior determinants and perception toward financial crime, the possible link between the two fields remains unclear., Based on previous knowledge, it can be inferred that personal daily financial attitudes and behaviors can shape perceptions about financial crime/white-collar crime issues. We propose an in-depth analysis of the interplay between presumed protective and risk factors that predict personal financial management and attitudes toward illicit economic activities. Based on a set of preliminary results presentation sheds light on how personal attitudes toward money and other psychological variables can impact financial behavior and might influence the perception of financial crime. Further empirical studies would take into account that both aspects could be mediated or moderated by certain cognitive, attitudinal, motivational, and moral patterns. Such investigation has long-term implications because inappropriate financial behaviors in everyday life could lead to a greater risk of financial crime being accepted and normalized on individual and societal levels. Understanding complex relationships between underlying factors associated with financial behaviors and economic misbehavior perceptions, respectively, plays a pivotal role in creating evidence-based policies. More precisely, strategic behavioral initiatives targeting the optimization of financial education might serve as a solution for preventing and combating inadequate lenient attitudes related to financial illegal practices.

Cardiac tamponade is a vital emergency and a rare complication of pericardial effusion. In the acute phase of myocardial infarction, tamponade may be due to the sudden formation of a pericardial effusion after rupture of the free wall of the heart. Our objective is to raise awareness about the importance of a rapid diagnosis and management of myocardial infarction. We carried out an autopsy for the body of a man who died at home. The discussion was conducted according to a narrative review of the literature conducted via PubMed. He is a 67-year-old man, living alone and having no pathological history apart from chronic smoking for more than 45 years. The deceased no longer responded to calls from his sister and brother, which would have led them to go to his home. He was found on his bed, cold, and with no medicine or food by his side. The external examination was without abnormalities. The internal examination shows a reddish pericardial blood clot enveloping all sides of the heart. Presence of ruptures of the posterior wall of the left ventricle and the tip of the heart. Presence of a calcified atherosclerotic plaque obstructing more than 80% of the lumen of the anterior interventricular artery and the circumflex artery. Toxicological analyzes of blood, gastric contents, bile and urine were requested. In the absence of urgent medical intervention, the vital prognosis of acute myocardial infarction is quickly compromised.

The relationship between childhood ostracism and experiences of paraphilic thoughts is unclear, with very little known about the subsequent impact of improved social support in later life. This study used mixed methods (i.e., moderation analysis, content analysis) to explore the effects of social support and childhood ostracism on paraphilic thoughts, and further explored individuals' views on people with sexually deviant attitudes and behaviours. Two hundred seventeen participants (mean age = 27.5 years, 63.6% female) responded to an online survey. In men, but not in women, the relationship between childhood experiences of ostracism and paraphilic thoughts was strengthened in individuals with high social support, and weaker in individuals with low social support. The qualitative analysis indicated differences in attitudes of the general population between people who have committed sexual offences and people who have sexually deviant thoughts. Results of this study raise internationally applicable questions about the development of public health support for people with deviant sexual thoughts and attitudes via interventions to help prevent potential sex offences in adulthood, thus, challenging and potentially preventing the cyclical relationship of sexual abuse reviewed in the literature.

The SolarWinds cyberattack marked a pivotal shift in the landscape of cybercrime, revealing vulnerabilities that have long been overlooked. Forensic analysis of this devastating breach, which impacted approximately 18,000 clients, including critical entities such as the U.S. Government and U.S. Treasury, underscores a harsh reality: Not Secure Internet Assets and Insecure Domain Name Systems (DNS) played a crucial role in enabling and facilitating the attack.
The SolarWinds incident, with its alarming dwell time of over a year from intrusion to discovery by chance, highlights the severe consequences of inadequate DNS security. It is likely that the initial access occurred in 2019, coinciding with CISA’s issuance of Emergency Directive M-19-01 on DNS Tampering and Abuse. This directive was a response to a series of DNS attacks on numerous Federal Agencies through 2018, underscoring the urgency of securing DNS infrastructures. However, this call to action was muted and came too late to prevent the SolarWinds breach, which has since served as a stark reminder of the critical importance of DNS security.
The exponential rise in DNS attacks can be traced back to early incidents such as the 2016 attack on DYN (now part of Oracle). This crippling assault disrupted half of the U.S. Internet, setting a precedent for future attacks. Despite these warnings, education, training, and expertise in DNS security have lagged, leaving DNS servers vulnerable to exploitation. This gap in knowledge and practice has enabled widespread redirections, unlawful data capture, malware distribution, and an unprecedented surge in cybercrime.
CISA, the NSA, and other Federal Agencies have learned the hard way that while they extensively utilized DNS for global surveillance, they neglected the crucial task of securing their own DNS records and servers. This oversight has had significant repercussions, highlighting the necessity for a paradigm shift in how DNS security is perceived and implemented. As an example, the NSA prior to March 17 2020 were completely exposed to DNS attacks.
On May 13, 2021, six months after the SolarWinds breach, Tim Brown, the company's CISO, who is currently embroiled in a legal battle with the SEC, took decisive action to address their DNS vulnerabilities. By moving their Top-Level Domain from an exposed and insecure state to a secure configuration, SolarWinds made a critical step toward rectifying their DNS security posture. However, this action came with the realization that addressing DNS security is not a one-time fix but an ongoing process that requires constant controls, management, and vigilance.
The SolarWinds case exemplifies a widespread issue: the failure to address all subdomains and DNS servers. This negligence effectively negates other security measures, including TLS security. Despite DNS being one of the earliest Internet Protocols, established in 1986 by my colleague Dr Paul Mockapetris, organizations continue to overlook its significance. This oversight has created a fertile ground for cybercriminals to exploit, causing widespread disruption and damage.
The forensic community must take these lessons to heart. Ensuring DNS security is fundamental to the overall security framework of any organization. The SolarWinds breach serves as a stark warning: without securing DNS, all other security measures can be rendered ineffective. It is imperative that we prioritize DNS education, training, and expertise to prevent future incidents and safeguard our digital infrastructure. The time for action is now, and the cost of inaction is too high to ignore.

Studies have shown that 1 in 4 women will experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime and 68% of abused women will also experience non- or near-fatal strangulation by their abuser. Additionally, when an abusive relationship escalates and non-fatal strangulation incidents occur, the abuser is seven times more likely to kill their partner. However, in cases of non-fatal strangulation, there are often few, if any external or internal injuries, despite popular belief, which complicates the investigation and prosecution of the strangler. In such cases, a multidisciplinary legal, investigative, forensic, and medical approach is the best method to holding stranglers accountable. This presentation will provide the attendants an overview of the pathophysiology of non-fatal strangulation and asphyxia, the medical-forensic examination, and potential forensic evidence that may be found at the scene to support the strangulation allegations.

Audio and video forensics have been used in hundreds to thousands of cases each year within the courts. A new futuristic technology called subliminal Acoustic Fingerprinting (SAF) is a new method used for investigations globally to gather information on stalkers, sex trafficking operations/organizations, harassment, hackers, and cyber-crime activities. Using the SAF method, one can hear radio communications of the criminal network, gather intel from locations, names, equipment, servers, networks, software, drugs, weapons, murderers, terrorists plans and more. The frequencies that are identified match the QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation), vector fields, that the criminals are using with the use of their electronic devices. The frequencies identified also connect to the radio transmissions that the criminal group is using to transmit and connect to the hosting site for operations.
We will discuss in detail a sample report completed for a client and employee of Aimee’s Audio’s – Alison Smith – UK Board member of ICATOR – international coalition against electronic torture and robotization of living beings – a Belgian based human rights association - Sharing details about the criminals involved in her personal situation, the technologies being used and how they maintain constant surveillance of her for illegal live streaming purposes.

The Forensic Cyberpsychology Analysis and Threat Prediction Model (FCPATP) represents a pioneering integration of cyberpsychology principles with forensic methodologies explicitly crafted to enhance the analysis and prediction of cybersecurity threats. This model utilizes a comprehensive framework that begins with preprocessing security log data to extract behavioral patterns linked to IP addresses. By incorporating GeoIP, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), and threat intelligence, the FCPATP enriches data for effective behavioral profiling of potential cyber attackers. It further develops behavioral rules from threat intelligence, aligning them with forensic techniques to detect and interpret sophisticated cyber threats robustly. The model identifies the underpinnings of cyber threats by employing advanced analytical methods, such as pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and behavioral analysis.
Additionally, FCPATP employs specialized forecasting techniques to predict and mitigate future cyber activities and threats. This model is indispensable in Forensic Cyberpsychology, providing a detailed understanding of the behavioral dynamics at play in cyber threats and bolstering strategies for cybercrime investigation and prevention. The FCPATP serves as a crucial link between Cyber Behavioral Sciences and Forensics, equipping professionals with essential tools and insights for thoroughly understanding, predicting, and investigating cybercriminal behaviors, thereby enhancing forensic investigative capacities and predictive capabilities.

Among the leading causes of death worldwide, intentional violence is defined as the intentional threat or use of physical force or power against oneself, others, a group or a community that results in, or has a high likelihood of resulting in, trauma, death, psychological harm, maldevelopment or deprivation; excluded from this definition are accidental incidents, such as most road traffic injuries and burns.
Our aim was to study intentional violence at the Point G University Hospital.
This study, conducted from January 2017 to March 2021, was retrospective, prospective and descriptive, focusing on patients admitted to Point G University Hospital who had suffered intentional violence.
During our study, Point G University Hospital admitted 2,6358 patients, including 103 cases of intentional assault and battery, i.e. a frequency of 0.4%; the 15-20 age group was most concerned, with 31.1%. Males were in the majority with 71.8%, and pupils/students were the most exposed with 25.2%. Around 54.4% of victims were self-referred, and 40.8% were referred. Bladed weapons were involved in 44.7% of cases, and firearms in 9.7%. Wounds accounted for 47.6%, and 26.1% of assaults were on the abdomen. Surgical treatment accounted for 37.9% of cases; 57.3% of our victims were treated with analgesics, antibiotics and sero-vaccination.
Intentional violence is a major public health problem, affecting thousands of people every year. These people are subject to a variety of factors operating in economic, socio-cultural and political contexts. Health professionals have an important role to play in supporting and monitoring victims. Combating such violence begins with raising public awareness.

HUMAN TRAFFICKING WITH NEUROWEAPONS, CYBERWEAPONS, DIRECT ENERGY WEAPONARY
WHAT IS HUMAN TRAFFICKING?
Human Trafficking is a crime that involves compelling or coercing a victim to a uncomfortable, cruel life that is no longer free and their own.
This crime involves compelling or coercing a person to provide labor or services or engage in commercial sex. The coercion can be subtle, overt, physical and psychological.
MODERN DAY SLAVERY is another term used, where individuals are illegally transported by force or deception for purposes such as labor, sexual exploitation or financial gain. It’s an international trade that is used in person or online, for forced labor, sexual slavery or commercial sexual exploitation.
Victims can be anyone, regardless of race gender socioeconomic status. It is no longer for the underprivileged as most of us are taught to think and Traffickers often prey on vulnerable individuals.
WHAT ARE NEUROWEAPONS?
Neuroweapons are weapons that manipulate the human brain and central nervous system through software that was originally made for the military.
Pharmaceuticals to keep combatants for extended periods.
Acoustic weapons paralyze or injure enemies.
In my case, and others across the world—these weapons are are used on Human Trafficked Victims.
HAVANA SYNDROME also known as Anomalous Health Incidents, is a condition that has been diagnosed and reported by Diplomats, Intelligence Agencies, military and individuals all over the world and is growing quickly.
Most Victims have acute onset symptoms that cause loss of balance, cognitive problems, insomnia, migraines, extreme body pain.
It is caused by direct energy weaponary, sonic weapons, ultrasound microwave weapons that were made for the military but are now sold on the darkweb.
Beginning in 2016, neuro and direct energy weapons and Havana Syndrome became available to organized criminals and Human Traffickers. It has rapidly become the favorite software to be used on the Human Trafficked to keep them from having any freedom, Human Rights or Civil Rights. The market is an average of three (3) times larger than drug markets. Humans can be resold easily online and in person by hostile, corrupt agencies over drugs.
I was sold by corrupt First Responders, Police, Firefighters, EMS originally in Texas and I am now currently sold in 20 countries online for live, real time Torture that happens non-stop. The reason, I was a Journalist that is still to this day, passionate for Human Rights and reporting the truth. I am smart, I was attractive, happy, popular and successful and had an extremely close, happy family.
The heartbreaking outcome for Victims with these weapons of mass destruction from children to adults is devastating. It is hard to grasp, that such an awful hatecrime is hidden from the everyday world but, now, the weapons are more known and the public is becoming educated and victims are no longer being stereo-typing the Human Trafficked.
Hopefully, we can start improving and making laws to stop Human Traffickers using weapons that were meant specifically for war not to profit the innocent and vulnerable.
I am Katherine Pieterse the Journalist who is now Human Trafficked across the world for standing up for Human Rights. I am from San Antonio and Boerne, Texas and I have lived and worked in London, England, Dublin, Ireland and South Africa. I began my journalism journey when I attended the private University of Incarnate Word in 1995. Two years later I transferred to Richmond, American University of London. I graduated there in 1999 with a Bachelors of Art degree in Communications with the emphasis on Radio/Television and film. I have worked for Waterman Productions for KTSA radio, San Antonio, Texas and Zap Productions on the motion film Still Breathing starring Brendan Fraser and Joanna Going. I began my career, as a Journalist at CNN International London for a weekly television program, Pinnacle Europe. I enjoyed it tremendously. We looked for the good in the businesses and the founders that began from the bottom and became the best in their field. I have also been a high school English teacher and taught in Langley, Slough, England for nearly five (5) years. Worked for the top skin care companies of Switzerland, France and United Kingdom. These include: La Prairie, Decleor, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Harrods. I have traveled the world learning and writing about interesting people and cultures and learn so much from others. It makes realize how much goodness and creativity is in the world. I returned home to Texas and began working in the automotive industry and quickly worked my way up to upper management and eventually became the #1 Equity Manager in the nation. I moved to Bellaire, Houston,Texas in 2014 and became targeted for being a smart, happy, honest, outgoing happy woman. In 2016, my life was taken from me. I am extremely passionate about people and their well-being and their Human Rights. My highly ethical personal belief system is what has caused me to be sold online globally for Human Trafficking, specifically for torture which includes humiliation and degrading themes. Human Trafficking takes away every human civil right we have. I do not have one legal, God given right. I am here to teach others not to stereo-type victims that are trafficked and help them understand that Direct Energy Weaponary, Neuroweapons, cyberweapons and Havana Syndrome are the most used tools by Traffickers and Organized Criminals. After 10 1/2 years of torture and abuse, I wake up every morning and still look for goodness in the world and never give up on hope that I will bring down one of the largest international crime organizations known.

Forensic Science is the collection, preservation and analysis of crime scene evidence that may be used in the future in a court of law. Typically, one thinks of forensic evidence as blood splatter, fingerprints, hairs, fibers, et al. My work as a Consulting and Testifying Expert, in actual court cases (many criminal) across the USA, involves child hearsay allegations and most of those cases represent child sexual assault cases. While sexual child abuse is still a problem in America, Dr. David Finkelhor’s 30-year study from 1991 – 2021 and statistical data for the same published in Child Maltreatment for 2022 showed a 63% decline in the incidence of child sexual assault. And, while it’s true that child sexual abuse cases are under-reported, the markedly elevated numbers of unsubstantiated investigated reports by Child Protective Services (CPS) give rise to concerns of confirmation bias and even, at times, professional negligence. 95% of all child sex abuse cases travel from CPS to the Police to the Courts via hearsay, and are admissible into evidence as exceptions to the hearsay rule…he said, she said and what a child said. Only 5% of the same contain genuine medical forensic proof of sexual abuse. Because Judges and Juries don’t want to think that children can lie or be mistaken when alleging they’ve become victims of sexual impropriety, it places the accused in the unenviable position of being presumed guilty. While only about 5% - 10% of all child sex abuse cases represent false allegations, an additional 60% - 65% of cases investigated turn out to be unfounded, or those that do not support more evidence than not. For the accused, it becomes the elephant in the room.
Dean Tong, MSc., CFC, RCFI, LLC is a Forensic Trial Consultant and Expert who specializes in assisting attorneys and parents in high-conflict and contested and child abuse cases in all courts in all 50 United States. A published author of 3 books and a scientific journal article on sexual deviancy testing of men accused of child sexual assault, Tong’s work has been cited in a dozen books and published in over 20 professional journal articles. Dean Tong has testified as an Expert Witness over 65 times in court cases from 19 States in the USA.

To improve these safety systems, the origin and cause needs to be investigated and identified. With this information we can make these vehicles safer for all road users. As the number of these incidents increases, we are starting to see some common causes.
Fire Investigators will work to the NFPA 921, 1033 and kirks reference in relation to investigations, however the technology of these vehicles is growing and changing faster that any one of these publications can produce updates.
We need to understand the dangers within damaged electric vehicles to be able to carry out a comprehensive forensic investigation.
It’s one thing to work on these systems when they are in normal state, it is another world to work on them following a fire.
This is a brief insight into some of the common causes of electric vehicle fires.
