Baoguo Han, Professor of Civil Engineering at Dalian University of Technology since 2012, holds a BS and MS in Material Science and Engineering (Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, 1999, 2001) and a PhD in Engineering Mechanics (Harbin Institute of Technology 2005). He was invited to the University of Minnesota and has worked as a visiting research scholar there for three years. His main research interests include cement and concrete materials, nano-engineered cementitious composites, smart materials and structures, multifunctional concrete, fiber reinforced concrete, and ultra-high performance concrete. He has published five authored books and one book video, three edited books, 17 book chapters, and more than 200 technical papers. The citations and h-index/i10-index in Google are 10734 and 54/156, respectively. The research outcomes have been reported as research highlights more than 20 times. He has held more than 20 authorized national invention patents and was awarded the first prize of Natural Science by the Ministry of Education of China. Professor Han is a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials, and has served as a member in more than 30 scientific professional societies (including an academic organization, as journal chief editor and editorial board member, and on a review panel for scientific research projects and awards) and as a reviewer for more than 150 books and journals. He has been awarded Top Peer Reviewer in the Global Peer Review Awards powered by Publons in both Materials Science and Cross-Field, listed in Highly Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier, and named in the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University.

Prof. Hassan Mahdy, is a doctor of Highway Engineering and professor at Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, the Dean of the Egyptian National Institute of Transport (ENIT) since October, 2021. With wide range of academic and research achievements prof. Dr. Hassan have been at the for front of highway research, among these topics; application of worm asphalt mixes, effect of compaction methods on asphalt mixes characteristics, environmentally oriented road design, using modified asphalt to improving of asphalt mixes performance, safety measures at working zones on Egyptian expressways, enhancing of characteristics of Egyptian low-quality asphalt cement, in addition to several other publications honors and awards.
Dr. G. R. Dodagoudar is presently working as professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India. He obtained his Ph. D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. His areas of research interests include: Computational Geomechanics, Contaminant Transport Modelling, Reliability Analysis of Geotechnical Systems, Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering and, Seismic Hazard and Risk Assessment. Professor Dodagoudar has guided so far 21 Ph. D. and 7 M.S. (Research) theses in addition to many M. Tech. dissertations. He has great passion for teaching and taught many UG and PG courses in the IIT Madras, Chennai. He publishes extensively in national and international referred journals. He has actively involved in many continuing education programmes. He is an active member of the AICTE’s, New Delhi, Standing Appellate Committee. Professor Dodagoudar has completed many prestigious sponsored research and consultancy projects.
Tunc Deniz Uludag is a structural engineer with a PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He works at Martin/Martin, Inc. in Lakewood, Colorado, specializing in performance-based and seismic design. He is an associate member of ASCE and serves in the ASCE/SEI 7 - Main Committee and Seismic Subcommittee for the 2028 cycle. He is also the secretary of the NCSEA seismic committee and a moderator at ATC/FEMA training program. He has researched structural dynamics and seismic energy devices. He has participated in post-earthquake reconnaissance missions and shared his insights with the engineering community. He is a passionate volunteer who encourages the younger generations by giving sessions on what structural engineers do.
Venus Kate Geva is a civil engineer and her educational journey was a testament to my determination. After years of hard work, I proudly graduated with a degree in BS Civil Engineering, a field that ignited my passion for understanding the complex mechanics of structures and their relationship with the environment.
But my path was not without its trials. The unexpected arrival of the global pandemic caused a delay in my graduation, a hurdle that I could not have foreseen. Yet, I refused to let this setback define me. Instead, I embraced the extra time as an opportunity to further hone my skills and deepen my knowledge.
Currently, I find myself working as a sales engineer for a respected construction company.
